The Perils of Unchecked Competition

This policy uncertainty extends to domestic tech regulation. For years, US regulators favored a light-touch approach, but national security concerns recently prompted restrictions on the Anthropic Mythos 5 model, triggering resistance from Silicon Valley. Critics argue that excessive regulation could slow innovation and erode the American technological lead over China.
